Problem Possible Cause Solution

Loops on an expansion card

data bus will not set.

Too much line noise.

Too long of a wire run to devices.

Too small a wire size or

insufficient auxiliary power.

Troubleshooting Section continued

Move wires away from RF sources.

Relocate panel closer to devices.

Replace with a larger wire size or

add an auxiliary power supply.

Loop expanders are incorrectly

addressed.

There are unused loops on one or

more expanders.

Correct the address settings to

match the panel's programming.

Leave as is or assign loops to an

area.

Too much current draw from

terminals 7, 11, the output relays,

and/or the data bus of an

expansion card.

LPX Setup shows overlapped,

misssing, or extra loops.

Reduce current draw to below the

600mA allowable.

Install a UL listed power supply

Thermal circuit breaker on

panel pops on and off.
